Condensation protection

About the project:

Subject: ice-resistant oil production platform.

Explosion-proof lamps of a western manufacturer were installed on the platform. They were designed for 10 years of operation.

Problems:

1. All lights began to fail before reaching their service life. Ordering spare parts for them is complicated, time-consuming, and expensive.
2. Condensation accumulated in the lighting in conditions of high humidity and constant temperature changes. Lights were turned on 24/7 to prevent a total failure caused by condensation.

The goal:

1. Prevent the formation of condensation
2. Ensure long service life

SOLUTION AND IMPLEMENTATION:

All fixtures were fitted with a special valve that protects the lighting, preventing condensation inside. Additionally:

1. The lamps are guaranteed for 10 years;
2. We have added 10% spare parts to the supply of lamps (drivers and LEDs);

The body has a service life of 40 years thanks to its strong construction and a special chemical-resistant coating.
